SADLBA DISTRICT FINALS 2025

THe SADLBA District Finals were held on the 8th and 9th September at North Mymms Bowls Club. It was a great day with a huge turnout of spectators and supporters.

Our Ladies did well winning the Double Rink for only the second time - the last in 2004! Sue Burbidge was runner up in the Champion of Champions, while Sue Knight and June Worman were Runner Up in the Pairs. Well done Ladies. Oustanding.

DELSA COOPER CUP

North Mymms played Hoddesdon and Rye Park on Saturday 16th august for the Delsa Cooper Cup. This fixture was first played in 2022 and has never been won by North Mymms…..until this year! It was a very close call with the overall score being 76 - 71 to North Mymms. A very enjoyable game played in a friendly atmosphere. All the more sweet for having won.

JARVIS CUP and HARVEY CUP 2025

Once again Potters Bar, Northaw & Cuffley and North Mymms put out 4 mens rinks each to play for the coveted Jarvis Cup, held for the last two years by Potters Bar. North Mymms hosted the match on a warm and comfortable afternoon and this year Northaw & Cuffley took the trophy with a strong performance winning on 3 of the 6 rinks. North Mymms (aganst Potters Bar) drew on 1 rink and Potters Bar won 2. Afterwards refreshments were provided buffet style with sandwiches, cakes, sausage rolls and, of course a glass from the bar. Well done Northaw & Cuffley.

At the same time our Ladies romped home at Potters Bar where they won, for thed thrid consecutive year, the Harvey Cup. They too played against Northaw & Cuffley and Potters Bar. It was a close game but North Mymms won on 3 rinks and once again took home the spoils. The afternoon was finished off with a lovely meal provided by the Potters Bar host. Well done Ladies!

PARISH COUNCIL MATCH

What a great time on 19th August in a comfortable summer evening North Mymms played a friendly game against friends and family of the Parish Council. There were no losers - only winners - as everyone had a grewat time on the green and some light refreshments afterwards.
